Last week, I asked for your stories and songs of love, anything that expresses love to you, and not just limited to romantic love. A few of you took some time to respond (thank you!) and as promised, I'm sharing them this week. However, this week's message is audible!
My good friend, Dr. Tami West, who podcasts every week, initiated a love challenge with her listeners also. Tami and I decided to collaborate this week and talk on her podcast about the responses we received. We discussed our own thoughts about love—giving, receiving and the importance of both—and we shared a few thoughts about how you can help someone else feel more included this Friday (or anytime).
Let's face it, Valentine's Day can leave some (or many of us) feeling alone, unloved and/or unlovable. But you can make a world of difference with the smallest effort.
Do you know someone who has lost a spouse to death or divorce? Of course, we all do. Or someone who's gone through a recent breakup? Maybe you know someone who has not yet found the love they've been looking for? Or maybe someone is in a relationship but things are tough right now. It's lonely and not what they hoped for.
Valentine's Day can feel especially painful when it seems like the rest of the world is swimming in hearts, flowers and chocolate and you are not. Consider who may need an extra show of love this week and tune in for some easy and inexpensive ideas on what to do for them.
Dr. Tami West's podcast is called, "Consider Yourself Hugged." Listen to our
love conversation now, episode #51 at

love it! xoxo
*Our talk is live now. The show notes and links for everything we mentioned will be available after 6:30 a.m. central time. If you like what you hear, scroll down to the bottom of her page and sign up for Tami's weekly podcasts.
