Today's meditation is short and sweet. I was recently struck by these three words—Listen, Ask and Speak—and began to contemplate the order in which we learn. These three words are also significant in how we deepen our relationships with others.
My first thought was that we listen, ask and then speak in the learning process. But then I realized asking may come first in some cases and then listening. One thing is undoubtedly true, the last way we learn is through speaking.
Let's observe ourselves today and notice how much we are listening, asking and speaking. Most importantly, let's look to see how much we're learning ... about ourselves, our beliefs, the people we encounter (whether it's a one-time meeting or a life-long friendship) and the world in general. I want to be a student of life forever and always be learning. Join me?
Cheers to a great week, noticing the gifts that matter most. Feel free to share this with a friend. Until next time...
To your gifts!
Angela
