As the end of November approaches, fall foliage is beginning to dwindle. Leaves are clinging to trees in varying stages of letting go, while other trees are already barren. I was rounding a corner on my walk today when a half-empty branch caught my eye. Its leaves were at the end of their life cycle but in looking closer, I saw new growth coming through the bare limb. Hardly detectable, tiny buds were bursting forth
full of promise, bringing new life even before this tree has completely lost every leaf. (see photo above)
How many times have we thought we were at the end of our rope and suddenly a new door opens? Did it just magically come into the picture at the moment we needed it? No, other people and circumstances had to line up ahead of time for a solution to be there at exactly the right second for us. We didn’t see it, however, until the time was right.
No matter what things look like today, new growth is on the horizon. A new season is already in the works for each of us. Maybe we’ll see glimpses of what’s coming or maybe we’ll just have to trust it’s on the way. We don’t have to believe a thing for it to be true. If you’re struggling today, I’ll believe it for you!
